So...hey ya'll!! I have been thinking about doing this ever since I got here in Omaha. I know that I have kind of been all over the place lately and I don't want to be the niece, cousin, friend, daughter, sister, aunt and everything else, that no one ever see's or only hears about every once in a while. So I am going to try and keep this very up to date to kind of keep you all intertwined in my life one way or another. Keep in mind, that spelling, grammer and all that good stuff may deteriorate along the way...and that is fine :) I will have pictures up shortly and also try to keep them flowing in. OK, anyways let me try and update everyone. I got a scholarship to College of St Mary in Omaha, Nebraska to play basketball. I will be here for three years and will get my degree in Occupation Therapy. It is a smaller school right in the heart of Omaha and I am loving it so far. I have been here just short of 2 weeks and have an apartment with my friend Terra Moyers who also plays at CSM. I drove all 1100 miles alone and drove through the biggest rainstorm ever!! I think I got struck by lightening twice...no joke people. These midwest storms are crazy, I will tell you all about them in another blog later. Hmmm lets see what else, oh my apartment is freaking rad, it's two bedroom two bathroom and super nice. I will have pics up later. School is...meh school but my team so far is freaking rad. I am sure later their will be issues (their always is) but as of now we are all getting along great. Pre-season starts Sept 2 and we are all getting very excited...basketball is a long season but when it seems we are all craving it! I do miss my family but it is easier this year because I kinda already had an idea of what it would be like because I spent last year in good ole' Pratt, Kansas. I miss Zoie a ton and am not even going to get to see her when I go home for the elk hunt in September :( SAD DAY. hmmm...thinking of what else to say right now.... this is pretty general, I will get specific later I am sure.
A little about Omaha...with surrounding cities there is somewhere around a million, I really enjoy the whole city thing. I am a first timer with this stuff because Panguitch obviously isn't a city, Cedar isn't a big city by any means and Pratt was only about 6,000 people so yeah..
As of right now I am sitting here watching John and Kate plus 8 (My favorite show ever) and my friend Lindsey (whom I went to school with in Kansas and we both moved here without even planning it..i know weird :) ) just made dinner. We cook a lot here, trying to stay away from eating out all the time but I will predict we'll probably slack later. JIMMY JOHNS RULES! ok has to get that out of my system too. Ok well I am rambling so that is all for now. I have work study in the fitness center tomorrow which is also where we play ball and then class and then who knows what untill 8:45pm when we scrimmage.
